Maddie's ventilator assisted breathing has been reduced to a minimal level with the hope of removing it from her today or tomorrow. It's expected that she will tolerate breathing on her own and if in fact that happens, then they can attempt to feed her orally. Oral feedings could be a problem because newborns who've been on ventilators sometimes have problems learning to swallow. Hopefully things will go well over the next few days. Kirk
