Maddie update from Heather's dad

Maddie had a big day yesterday. Her ventilator was finally removed and she tolerated that procedure with virtually no reaction. A tiny low-flow nasal cannula that pushes air into her nose is now in place. While the air is partially oxygen enriched, the % of oxygen has been reduced since yesterday and she's tolerating the reduction well. Maddie's freedom from the ventilator has made it much easier for Heather & Mike to hold her more frequently. Her first cries off the ventilator were a little hoarse but sounded stronger as the day progressed. Yesterday Maddie's bowel movement was described by Heather as a giant "poopalanche" which they didn't mind cleaning up at all. Heather gave her a bath which did irritate her a little. Kirk
