Maddie update from Heather's dad

Yesterday Maddie was held for the first time by her grandma, and held, and held, and held. She opens her eyes when she hears a close voice especially when Mike is holding her. Madeline is at a point where her progress has been slow but steady and is usually marked by something as simple as a small reduction in her supplemental oxygen. She's also at a point where she's sharing a nurse with another baby instead of having one dedicated to her alone. In some ways we can say that currently Maddie is one of the better babies in the unit. This Sunday will mark her four week birthday although for Heather & Mike everyday has been celebrated by quietly singing happy birthday to Maddie at 4:22 pm. Kirk
